After final check with the permission of CNE the news finally gets into the hand of a News presenter. Finally, news presenter goes through the script for presenting the news in a studio. In a visual media news presenter presents news in a studio in front of a camera, that’s only the difference between visual and non-visual media.  

 

Now in that short description in someone’s mind it may obviously come that, “if it is called news presentation then what is called news reading?”. In a short note I must add that news reading means simply reading a news. News reader never concerns about a news depth, voice modulation, where the reading is the main act, he/she never convey a massage through his/her body language. Reader must not worry about his/her dress sense either. But a presenter must think and concern about all these and also the authenticity of the news, where it came from. How to prepare to become a news presenter

A news presenter prepare him/herself for the news. Presenter connects with the news all the time. He/she is concern about the recent updates and following up about the news. News presenters have the knowledge about the current affaires of the world. Most importantly he/she will be updated about the national news acquiring local economy, politics, agricultural development, education and other developments. After arriving to the news room the news presenter must go through the news script. Read the news. It is said that a news presenter is the last check post before delivering the news. So, presenter must check the news very carefully. If something unusual or something feels not right then discuss it to the editors or CNE (Chief News Editor) about that matter. After checking the news presenter must headed to the studio for at least 15 minutes prior to On Air the News.

After seated to the chair of a news presenter, he/she should check the microphone, talkback and autocue. Cameraman also check the camera and check the frame and discuss it with the panel producer. Sound engineer checks the sound of talkback and microphone. Before a minute panel producer warns news presenter to prepare for final count down to present the news.
